Roadmap to resuming care for liver diseases after coronavirus disease-2019

Summary: The global pandemic of COVID-19 has disrupted healthcare delivery, posing particular risks to patients with chronic liver diseases who require specialized care. These patients are also at higher risk for COVID-19 related hospital mortality. To safely resume care for patients with liver diseases, interim changes like telehealth, postponing non-urgent procedures, and comprehensive plans to minimize exposure risk are essential.
