The paper introduces a Doherty power amplifier with high efficiency, high linearity, and high output power features for S-band communication applications.
The paper presents a Doherty power amplifier with high efficiency and high linearity, operating at 3.65-3.85 GHz for S-band communication applications. The output power of the one-tone signal is 39.13 dBm with a transducer gain of 14.13 dB, 68.5% of power added efficiency (PAE), and Third Order Intercept (TOI) value of -29.51 dB. For the two-tone signal, the fundamental output power level is 36.1 dBm, the transducer gain is 15.1 dB, the intermodulation distortion (IMD) value is 31.17 dBc, while the PAE is reduced to 56.2% The proposed amplifier has good efficiency and high linearity with high produced output power features that makes it an appealing candidate for S-hand transmitters.
