This study demonstrates lasing with ultralow threshold from small-scale dielectric metasurfaces operating in a super-BIC regime. The engineered high-Q resonance comes from the topological merging of accidental and symmetry-protected bound states in the continuum.
We demonstrate lasing with ultralow threshold from small-scale dielectric metasurfaces with only similar to 10x10 periods operating at a super-BIC regime. Engineered high-Q resonance originates from topological merging of accidental and symmetry-protected bound states in the continuum. (C) 2021 The Author(s)
