A novel approach has been proposed to control the speed of all-optical switches by adjusting the interaction between materials and probes.
We propose a novel approach to control the speed of all-optical switches. In an epsilonnear-zero-metasurface comprising materials with picosecond- and nanosecond-switching-timescales, the switching-speed is controlled by the material interacting more strongly with the probe. (c) 2021 The Author(s)
