Summary: The study revealed that there is high nucleotide identity among the isolates of Strawberry mottle virus (SMoV) in China, with specific clustering patterns in phylogenetic analysis. Furthermore, evolutionary analysis indicated that negative selection, gene flow, as well as reassortment and recombination play important roles in the evolution of SMoV.
