Review of recent progress on graphene-based composite gas sensors

Chenyang Wang et al.

Summary: Graphene is considered a promising gas sensing material due to its high specific surface area and good conductivity. Recent studies have shown that graphene-based gas sensors doped with metals, polymers, and metal oxides exhibit good sensitivity, selectivity, and repeatability. Possible improvement methods and common problems characteristic of graphene-based gas sensors are discussed in this review.

Silver cluster decorated graphene nanoflakes for selective and accurate detection of nitroaniline isomers; DFT calculations

Tabish Jadoon et al.

Summary: In this study, a DFT approach was used to investigate the selective and accurate detection of poorly biodegradable and highly toxic nitroaniline isomers using silver cluster decorated graphene sensors. The most stable structure was found to be the analyte@Ag6-coronene complex, with the highest NBO charge transfer and interaction energy observed in the meta-Nitroaniline@Ag6-coronene complex. The results confirmed the excellent sensing ability of the silver-graphene composites for nitroaniline isomers and highlighted their potential for future sensor development.
