Diversity, succession pattern and colonization of forensic entomofauna on indoor rat carrions concerning the manner of death

Mayada R. Farag et al.

Summary: This study investigated the decomposition process of indoor rat carrions and the diversity and succession pattern of arthropods, particularly the necrophagous orders Diptera and Coleoptera. Different killing methods led to varying colonization patterns and abundance of arthropods on the carrions. These findings contribute to the field of forensic entomology and provide insights into the decomposition process in temperate ecosystems, specifically in Egypt during the summer season.
