Summary: Climate change and ecosystem degradation pose threats to human health, and pharmacists are well-positioned to lead the transformation towards environmentally sustainable healthcare practices. Additional education on climate mitigation and sustainable practices is needed for pharmacists, who play critical roles in reducing waste, greenhouse gas emissions, and promoting environmentally responsible drug disposal. Collaboration among pharmacy education organizations is essential to ensure future pharmacists are prepared to practice competently in sustainable healthcare.
