Excess Body Weight and Cancer-Related Fatigue, Systemic Inflammation, and Serum Lipids in Breast Cancer Survivors

Julia E. Inglis et al.

Summary: The study found a relationship between obesity and CRF, inflammatory markers, and certain fatty acids levels in breast cancer survivors. Dietary patterns and biomarkers of oxidative stress and inflammation: A systematic review of observational and intervention studies

Krasimira Aleksandrova et al.

Summary: This review of observational studies and intervention trials in the past five years found that plant-based dietary patterns, such as the Mediterranean and DASH diet, were associated with lower levels of oxidative stress and inflammation. On the other hand, western and fast food diets were positively associated with higher levels of oxidative stress and inflammation. Further large-scale intervention trials are needed to confirm these findings.
