Summary: The Woolsey Fire in November 2018 near Los Angeles, CA potentially remobilized radioactive contaminants from the former Santa Susana Field Laboratory, leading to detection of radioactive microparticles containing thorium in offsite samples. Data showed two radioactive deposition hotspots and significant offsite contamination near the laboratory perimeter.
