Efficient Continuous-Flow H-D Exchange Reaction of Aromatic Nuclei in D2O/2-PrOH Mixed Solvent in a Catalyst Cartridge Packed with Platinum on Carbon Beads

Kwihwan Park et al.

Summary: A continuous-flow deuteration methodology for various aromatic compounds is developed based on heterogeneous platinum-catalyzed hydrogen-deuterium exchange. The use of Pt/CB as catalyst support allows for continuous operation for at least 24 hours without significant deterioration of catalyst activity. Deuteration of substrate solutions through the Pt/CB layer in the cartridge packed with Pt/CB can be completed within 60 seconds.

A practical and efficient method for late-stage deuteration of terminal alkynes with silver salt as catalyst

Ding-Chuan Wu et al.

Summary: An efficient H/D exchange method using CF3COOAg catalyst at room temperature has been developed for selective deuteration of terminal alkynes. The reaction shows excellent site-selectivity and tolerance to functional groups, enabling deuteration of pharmaceuticals and nature product derivatives effectively.

Palladium-Catalyzed Nondirected Late-Stage C-H Deuteration of Arenes

Mirxan Farizyan et al.

Summary: The study presents a palladium-catalyzed late-stage deuteration of arenes using D2O as a deuterium source and N,N-bidentate ligands with N-acylsulfonamide group. The protocol allows for high degrees of deuterium incorporation with exceptional functional group tolerance, enabling the deuteration of complex substrates. This method is expected to be useful for drug development processes and mechanistic studies.
