In this study, in situ DRIFTS measurements were conducted on an Fe/BZY-Ru cathode catalyst in an electrolysis cell using a CsH2PO4/SiP2O7 electrolyte under mixed N2-H2 gas flow and polarization. The results confirmed the formation of N2Hx species under polarization and verified an associative mechanism in the electrochemical NRR process.
