Checkerboard patterns of charge stripes in the two-gap superconductor ZrB12

N. B. Bolotina et al.

Summary: Inhomogeneous superconductivity in ZrB12 was studied using heat capacity and x-ray diffraction data. Evidence of two-gap superconductivity was found when a magnetic field was applied along the [110] axis, while a single gap was observed when the magnetic field was applied along the [100] axis. These findings are consistent with the checkerboard-type patterns observed in the electron density distribution.

Full superconducting gap and type-I to type-II superconductivity transition in single crystalline NbGe2

Dongting Zhang et al.

Summary: In this study, mechanical point-contact spectroscopy was conducted on single crystalline NbGe2 with a superconducting transition temperature Tc = 2.0-2.1 K. The results suggest that NbGe2 may undergo a transition from a type-I to type-II (possible type-II/1) superconductor at low temperatures.
