Summary: This study evaluated the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on testing for common sexually transmitted infections, finding that testing for chlamydia and gonorrhea reached a nadir in early April 2020, with decreases of 59% to 63% relative to the baseline, along with an increase in positivity rates. During the COVID-19 pandemic, an expected 27,659 chlamydia cases and 5,577 gonorrhea cases were potentially missed.
