A comprehensive survey identified 133 plant species used in cosmetic treatments for skin care, hair care, and oral care, with a focus on skin care. The study highlights the potential for utilizing traditional knowledge to develop the herbal cosmetic industry by isolating bioactive compounds from these plants.
