Simultaneous conversion of NO and CO is crucial for maintaining air purity, and we have developed a cost-effective catalyst composed of Co-Cu-Mn that achieves 100% conversion at a low temperature. Our study suggests that the excellent performance of the catalyst can be attributed to the synergistic interaction between CuO species formed in the composite material, which creates a dual surface for NO and CO conversion.
The conversion of NO and CO simultaneously is an essential approach for maintaining air purity. We prepared a cost-efficient catalyst composed of Co-Cu-Mn that showed 100% NO-CO conversion at a low temperature. According to our study, the high performance of the catalyst was attributable to CuO species formed in the composite material that synergistically interacted to produce a dual surface for NO and CO conversion reactions.
