Effects of the Chloroplast Fructose-1,6-Bisphosphate Aldolase Gene on Growth and Low-Temperature Tolerance of Tomato

Bingbing Cai et al.

Summary: This study reveals the important role of the SlFBA4 gene in tomato growth and chilling tolerance. Over-expression of SlFBA4 increases photosynthesis and enzyme activity, leading to improved plant growth. Conversely, RNAi suppression of SlFBA4 results in opposite effects. Furthermore, over-expression of SlFBA4 enhances photosynthesis and enzyme activity, while reducing oxidative stress under chilling conditions. In contrast, RNAi lines exhibit more severe impairments in photosynthesis and oxidative stress under chilling stress.

Application of Nonlinear Adaptive Control in Temperature of Chinese Solar Greenhouses

Yonggang Wang et al.

Summary: The study developed a dynamic model of Chinese solar greenhouses and proposed a nonlinear adaptive control strategy using a Radial Basis Function neural network to address temperature control. The control scheme included a linear adaptive controller, a neural network nonlinear adaptive controller, and a switching mechanism. Research results demonstrated that the presented nonlinear adaptive control scheme outperformed the conventional PID method.
