Reunderstanding Geomorphological Features in Chang'e-5 Sampling Region Based on Multiscale Roughness Model

Wei Cao et al.

Summary: The Chang'e-5 mission successfully retrieved samples from the northeastern part of the Rumker region on the Moon, providing new insights into basaltic volcanism. A new roughness analyzing method was used to extract topographic signatures and calculate roughness at hectometer and kilometer scales, offering a fresh perspective on the geomorphological features in the Rumker region. The results demonstrate lower roughness in younger mare units at larger scales and provide a new way to identify wrinkle ridges using roughness maps.

Predictive Mapping of Glacial and Fluvioglacial Landforms in the Nadym River Basin (North of West Siberia) With TanDEM-X DEM

Oleg Sizov

Summary: Remote mapping of glacier and fluvioglacial landforms using spatial datasets has been extensively used globally. This study in the Nadym river basin reveals sustainable local signs of various landforms and highlights the primary contribution of Pleistocene glaciation to medium and large geomorphological landforms in the region.
