The impact of cash transfers on mental health in children and young people in low-income and middle-income countries: a systematic review and meta-analysis

Annie Zimmerman et al.

Summary: The research suggests that cash transfers may have positive effects on the mental health outcomes of children and young people in low-income and middle-income countries. However, there is high heterogeneity in the results, with some interventions showing no effects. Further research is needed to understand the varying impacts of cash transfers on mental health outcomes.

The impact of the Lesotho Child Grant Programme in the lives of children and adults with disabilities: Disaggregated analysis of a community randomized controlled trial

Richard de Groot et al.

Summary: This study found that the Lesotho Child Grant Programme had significant and differential impacts for people with disabilities on multiple health indicators, as well as a modest impact on food security and employment engagement. However, the programme only had an impact on school enrolment for children without disabilities, showing a need for additional support for people with disabilities in poverty alleviation programs.
