Genomic epidemiology of SARS-CoV-2 under an elimination strategy in Hong Kong

Haogao Gu et al.

Summary: Hong Kong has successfully controlled the transmission of SARS-CoV-2 through an elimination strategy and stringent measures. The majority of community-acquired cases were caused by three importations, and increased transmission occurred after prolonged restrictions, possibly due to adherence fatigue. Strong border control and community surveillance are essential for preventing local outbreaks.

Construction of an N-Decorated Carbon-Encapsulated W2C/WP Heterostructure as an Efficient Electrocatalyst for Hydrogen Evolution in Both Alkaline and Acidic Media

Peng Wei et al.

Summary: A novel heterostructure composed of W2C and WP embedded in nitrogen-decorated carbon (W2C/WP@NC) was constructed as an efficient HER electrocatalyst in this study, demonstrating remarkable electrocatalytic activity and durability in both acidic and basic conditions. Moreover, as the cathode in overall water-splitting, the W2C/WP@NC catalyst showed high current density and maintained long durability with a low cell voltage of less than 1.723 V for over 12 hours.

Ditungsten carbide nanoparticles homogeneously embedded in carbon nanofibers for efficient hydrogen production

Xiaoyan Yuan et al.

Summary: Ditungsten carbide (W2C) embedded in carbon nanofibers (W2C/C NFs) shows excellent electrocatalytic performance, especially in alkaline media. The one-dimensional nanostructure and strong coupling of W2C within the carbon matrix synergistically enhance electron transport and active sites, leading to significant improvement in hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) activity.

Hole-rich CoP nanosheets with an optimized d-band center for enhancing pH-universal hydrogen evolution electrocatalysis

Shuo Geng et al.

Summary: Tailoring the d-band center and introducing holes can significantly enhance the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) activity of CoP nanosheets in both acidic and alkaline media. This strategy not only improves the HER performance of electrocatalysts but also demonstrates excellent stability.
