Summary: Photo-Fenton as an advanced oxidation technology has been proven to be a multifunctional strategy for environmental remediation. In this study, a novel Ce4O7 modified Bi4MoO9 (C-BMO) Photo-Fenton heterojunction catalyst with in-built dual redox centers was successfully synthesized. The catalyst exhibited significantly enhanced degradation rate for tetracycline compared to pristine Bi4MoO9 and Ce4O7, mainly due to the formation of an intimate interface for efficient carrier transfer.

Summary: This study combines comprehensive characterizations and density functional theory calculations to investigate the roles of crystallinity and oxygen vacancy levels in Co(II) oxide on ORR and OER activities. The conversion of Co(OH)(2) into oxygen-defective amorphous-crystalline CoO nanosheets with controlled crystallinity and oxygen vacancy levels leads to significantly enhanced electrocatalytic activities. The introduction of amorphous structures and oxygen vacancies in the ODAC-CoO material proves to be an effective strategy for achieving high-performance electrocatalytic ORR and OER processes.

In situ Irradiated XPS Investigation on S-Scheme TiO2@ZnIn2S4 Photocatalyst for Efficient Photocatalytic CO2 Reduction

Libo Wang et al.

Summary: Efficient hierarchical photocatalysts, such as the S-scheme core-shell TiO2@ZnIn2S4 heterojunction, have gained attention for photocatalytic CO2 reduction. The improved performance is attributed to the inhibited recombination of photogenerated charge carriers induced by the S-scheme heterojunction, as well as the large specific surface areas and abundant active sites. In situ irradiated X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, work function calculation, and electron paramagnetic resonance measurements confirm the S-scheme photogenerated charge transfer mechanism.
