Cyanide sensitivity in direct electron transfer-type bioelectrocatalysis by membrane-bound alcohol dehydrogenase from Gluconobacter oxydans

Taiki Adachi et al.

Summary: The study showed that cyanide enhanced the bioelectrocatalytic activity of membrane-bound alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH) from Gluconobacter oxydans, while not affecting its catalytic activity in solution. Electrochemical methods and electron spin resonance spectroscopy revealed the detailed electron transfer pathway in the DET-type bioelectrocatalysis by ADH.
