Global existence and time decay rates for the 3D bipolar compressible Navier-Stokes-Poisson system with unequal viscosities

Guochun Wu et al.

Summary: In this paper, the Cauchy problem for the three-dimensional bipolar compressible Navier-Stokes Poisson system with unequal viscosities is considered. Under the assumption that the H-3 norm of the initial data is small but its higher order derivatives can be arbitrarily large, the global existence and uniqueness of smooth solutions are obtained using an ingenious energy method. Moreover, if additionally, the (H)over dot(-s) (1/2 <= s < s/2) of (B)over dot(2,infinity)(-s) (1/2 < s <= 3/2) norm of the initial data is small, the optimal decay rates of solutions are also established by a regularity interpolation trick and delicate energy methods.

Size and profile of skyrmions in skyrmion crystals

Haitao Wu et al.

Summary: Understanding the parameters that control the size of skyrmions is important for stability and dynamics control. Skyrmions can exist in different forms, including isolated circular skyrmions and skyrmion crystals in a condensed phase. The skyrmion size in a skyrmion crystal has a different parameter dependence compared to isolated skyrmions or stripes.

Stripe skyrmions and skyrmion crystals

Summary: Magnetic skyrmions are important topological solitons with different shapes in skyrmion crystals, ranging from stripy spin textures to circular skyrmions, showing varied properties. As the skyrmion number density increases, skyrmion shapes gradually change, eventually forming circular objects.
