Microstructure, martensitic transformation and shape memory effect of polycrystalline Cu-Al-Mn-Fe alloys

Yang ShuiYuan et al.

Summary: Two Cu-Al-Mn-Fe polycrystalline alloys were studied for their microstructure, reversible martensitic transformation, mechanical properties, and shape memory effects. The alloys exhibited suitable reversible martensitic transformation temperatures and the presence of two types of martensites. The FeAl nanoparticles were found to be Fe and Mn-rich, while the martensite was Cu-rich, where full shape recovery property was observed in one of the alloys under different deformations.
