Summary: The study aims to identify the existing capacity needs for integrating MOOC-based climate education in partner institutions' education systems. Infrastructure development, awareness-raising, curricular development, capacity building, integration and networking, research and development, and financial needs are identified as key areas for capacity development to integrate energy efficiency and climate change into higher education curricula. The research outcomes provide wider opportunities for climate literacy improvements and education initiatives in partner countries.
