Ice-Templated, Large-Area Silver Nanowire Pattern for Flexible Transparent Electrode

Jingkai Han et al.

Summary: Flexible transparent electrodes with high optical transmittance and low sheet resistance have been achieved by coating silver nanowires using a 2D ice-templating approach. The electrodes demonstrate excellent durability during cyclic bending and stretching, making them suitable for applications in touch screens and electronic skin sensors. This study represents a simple and cost-effective method to assemble various nanomaterials into large-area functional patterns for advanced flexible devices.

Solvent-Enhanced Transparent Stretchable Polymer Nanocomposite Electrode for Supercapacitors

Wei-Cheng Zhu et al.

Summary: The transparent stretchable supercapacitor demonstrated in this study is based on a nanocomposite electrode of silver nanowires and PEDOT:PSS modified with ethylene glycol, achieving 87% transmittance and a pseudo capacitance of 113 +/- 18 F/g. Stretching the supercapacitor even leads to an increase in capacitance due to closer electrode contact, showing potential for stretchable portable power sources in transparent electronics.

Improved Reliability of Silver Nanowire-Based Composites by Electroplating: A Theoretical and Experimental Study

Zhiqiang Lai et al.

Summary: This study focuses on enhancing the reliability of silver nanowire (AgNW) through electroplating Cu, Co, or Ni on polyethylene terephthalate, demonstrating improved conductivity and chemical stability. Among the metals tested, Ni@AgNW shows the strongest resistance to sulfurizing degradation. Metal@AgNW exhibits a high electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding effectiveness (SE) of up to 30 dB, with Ni@AgNW being the preferred choice for the most reliable coating.
