A systematic review of emerging human coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) outbreak: focus on disinfection methods, environmental survival, and control and prevention strategies

Zahra Noorimotlagh et al.

Summary: The study focused on inactivation methods, environmental survival, and control and prevention strategies of SARS-CoV-2. Results indicated that alcohol-based hand rub can efficiently deactivate the virus, and the virus may survive under different environmental conditions for 4 to 72 hours. Temperature and humidity were identified as important factors for virus survival, while hand washing and social distancing were recommended as key strategies for prevention. More research is needed to address potential airborne transmission.
