Parental education and inequalities in child mortality: a global systematic review and meta-analysis

Mirza Balaj et al.

Summary: The study found that higher levels of maternal and paternal education are associated with reduced under-5 mortality, with a dose-response relationship. Maternal education was a stronger predictor of child survival, and even a single additional year of schooling showed significant reductions in child mortality.

Analysis of spatial factors, time-activity and infiltration on outdoor generated PM2.5 exposures of school children in five European cities

Antti Korhonen et al.

Summary: This research uses modeling algorithms to analyze the exposure of school children to outdoor fine particles in different indoor and outdoor environments, finding that even though the levels of particles are significantly higher outdoors and in traffic, indoor environments still account for the majority of exposure.
