Data-Driven Approach for Resistivity Prediction Using Artificial Intelligence

Ahmed Abdelaal et al.

Summary: Formation resistivity is essential for petrophysics and formation evaluation. This study introduces intelligent models for predicting formation resistivity using other available logging parameters. The models showed good performance in predicting the target, with a high correlation coefficient and low root-mean-squared error. These models can fill the gaps in log data and potentially save costs.

Data-Driven Modeling Approach for Pore Pressure Gradient Prediction while Drilling from Drilling Parameters

Ahmed Abdelaal et al.

Summary: This study developed three models using support vector machines, functional networks, and random forest to predict real-time pore pressure gradient using mechanical and hydraulic drilling parameters. The models exhibited high accuracy in both training and testing, with the random forest model outperforming the others.

Improved Tracking of the Rheological Properties of Max-Bridge Oil-Based Mud Using Artificial Neural Networks

Ahmed Alsabaa et al.

Summary: This research aimed to predict rheological properties of mud using artificial intelligence from Marsh funnel and mud density measurements, utilizing different artificial neural network models optimized with field data of 383 samples. The study demonstrated strong predictive performance of the models, with correlation coefficients higher than 0.91 and average absolute percentage errors less than 5.31%.
