Hydrogenation kinetics of m-dinitrobenzene in a continuous micro-packed bed reactor

Xiaonan Duan et al.

Summary: The study successfully established a kinetic model for the hydrogenation of m-dinitrobenzene, obtaining activation energies and pre-exponential factors through a kinetic network. The accuracy and rationality of the model were verified through comparison with literature data, and it provided insights into the characteristics of different catalysts and rate determining steps for further optimization of the synthesis process.

Continuous and Selective Hydrogenation of Heterocyclic Nitroaromatics in a Micropacked Bed Reactor

Xiaonan Duan et al.

Summary: A continuous flow system based on a micropacked bed reactor was developed for the selective hydrogenation of heterocyclic nitroaromatics, achieving high yields in model reactions and exceeding 97.5% in all relevant nitroaromatic reductions. Compared with batch reactors, the continuous flow system enables efficient hydrogenation of nitroaromatics with shorter reaction times and safer operation.

Enhanced selectivity to olefins in the hydrodechlorination of trichloromethane using Ag-Pd on activated carbon catalysts

C. Fernandez-Ruiz et al.

Summary: The bimetallic catalyst AgPdCl/C showed higher selectivity to ethylene and propylene, while AgPdN/C exhibited higher selectivity to paraffins. The small Pd nanoparticles in AgPdCl/C acted as active sites for converting chloromethanes into light unsaturated hydrocarbons, leading to improved performance in terms of selectivity to olefins. AgPdCl/C also showed high stability and selectivity in the hydrodechlorination of trichloromethane.
