Inverse dependence of exchange bias and coercivity on cooling field caused by interfacial randomization in nanosystems with Co sparsely distributed in CoFe2O4 matrix

Song Yang et al.

Summary: This study investigates the influences of Co distribution in a CoFe2O4 matrix on magnetization behavior through a modified Monte Carlo method. Key findings include the temperature-dependent magnetization curves, the relationship between exchange bias field and Co/CFO interfacial coupling, and the control of exchange bias in nanosystems through interfacial randomization.

Effect of isothermal crystallization in antiferromagnetic IrMn on the formation of spontaneous exchange bias

Bo Liu et al.

Summary: The study found that the isothermal crystallization of the IrMn layer plays a crucial role in the formation of SEB in IrMn/CoFeB bilayer, with even a slight degree of crystallization being sufficient to induce a significant SEB. The results confirm the newly reported SEB mechanism driven by isothermal crystallization in IrMn layer and clarify the key factor influencing the magnitude of SEB.

Anisotropic coercivity and the effects of interlayer exchange coupling in CoFeB/FeRh bilayers

Chenyu Zhang et al.

Summary: Coercivity in an amorphous CoFeB layer becomes anisotropic with fourfold symmetry when exchange coupled with an FeRh layer. The angular dependence of coercivity coincides with the FeRh layer's in-plane easy-axis direction and shifts with FeRh's metamagnetic phase transition. This imprinting phenomenon is applicable for uniaxial magnetocrystalline anisotropy and provides a powerful tool to probe hidden magnetic structures and weakly magnetic materials.
