Effects of release pressure on the transportation characteristics in pipeline and the diffusion behaviors in enclosure space of typical gas extinguishing agent

Jiaming Jin et al.

Summary: The study found that reducing the release pressure of fire extinguishing systems in large transport airplanes can decrease potential safety hazards. Increasing the release pressure results in lower superheat and injection duration. Additionally, the pipeline differential pressure and maximum jet angle increase with higher release pressure.

Comparison of fire extinguishing performance of four halon substitutes and Halon 1301

Yawei Wang et al.

Summary: The study conducted fire extinguishing tests on four alternative fire extinguishing agents and Halon 1301, with Novec 1230 showing the best ability to put out oil pool fires, and HFC-227ea being most effective at suppressing wood stack fires. The differences in cooling abilities between extinguishing agents were minimal, with inert gas (IG-541) showing the best oxygen dilution ability, and hot aerosol requiring the longest time to extinguish fires. Overall, HFC-227ea demonstrated better firefighting efficiency and is more suitable for replacing Halon 1301 under current design standards.

Ppb-Level Xylene Gas Sensors Based on Co3O4 Nanoparticle-Coated Reduced Graphene Oxide(rGO) Nanosheets Operating at Low Temperature

Fanli Meng et al.

Summary: This article presents a one-step hydrothermal method for the preparation of rGO/Co3O4 nanocomposites and their performance testing. The results show that 1rGO/Co3O4 (335 wt%) has the best sensitivity to xylene gas, with an optimal working temperature of 175 degrees Celsius, and can detect xylene gas with a minimum concentration of 1 pph.
