A new tridimensional metal-organic chalcogenolate, [Ag-2(1,3-BDT)](n), containing a 1,3-benzenedithiolate bridging ligand and Ag(i), is reported. This coordination polymer exhibits good thermal stability in air and shows photoluminescence properties as well as a second harmonic generation response.
