Detection of a particle shower at the Glashow resonance with IceCube

M. G. Aartsen et al.

Summary: The Glashow resonance, observed at 6.3 PeV in the rest frame of an electron, was detected by the IceCube neutrino observatory through a particle shower with an energy of 6.05 +/- 0.72 PeV, providing evidence of astrophysical sources and validating the standard model of particle physics. The unique signature of the Glashow resonance allows for distinguishing neutrinos from antineutrinos, contributing to the advancement of neutrino astronomy.

IceCube-Gen2: the window to the extreme Universe

M. G. Aartsen et al.

Summary: The observation of electromagnetic radiation provides valuable information about the Universe, but at the highest energies, cosmic neutrinos are needed to explore extreme environments. IceCube-Gen2 is a next-generation instrument designed to enhance our understanding of high-energy processes in the Universe, ultimately advancing multi-messenger astronomy.

Dark matter annihilation to neutrinos

Carlos A. Arguelles et al.

Summary: This review summarizes the annihilation of dark matter into neutrinos across a range of masses, focusing on the constraints and sensitivity of upcoming neutrino experiments. Experimental techniques for detecting neutrinos, as well as the importance of reporting directional and energy information for stronger constraints, are highlighted. Constraints on dark matter self-annihilation to neutrinos, ranging from MeV/c(2) to GeV/c(2) masses, are discussed in the context of Galactic and extragalactic signals.

Probing secret interactions of astrophysical neutrinos in the high-statistics era

Ivan Esteban et al.

Summary: Neutrinos may have sizable self-interactions in astrophysical environments and the early Universe. Observations with neutrino telescopes can provide an independent probe of these interactions, and IceCube-Gen2 observations have the potential to realize the full potential of neutrino astronomy for testing cosmologically relevant interaction models.

Measurement of the high-energy all-flavor neutrino-nucleon cross section with IceCube

R. Abbasi et al.

Summary: This study presents a measurement of the neutrino cross section between 60 TeV and 10 PeV using the high-energy starting event (HESE) sample from the IceCube Neutrino Observatory. The result is found to be compatible with predictions from the Standard Model. Additionally, constraints on the measurement are applied through updated experimental particle identification (PID) classifiers for the three neutrino flavors.

IceCube high-energy starting event sample: Description and flux characterization with 7.5 years of data

R. Abbasi et al.

Summary: The IceCube Neutrino Observatory has confirmed the existence of a high-energy all-sky neutrino flux of astrophysical origin, analyzing the high-energy starting event sample with additional data and improved models. The astrophysical neutrino spectrum is found to be compatible with an unbroken power law, with a preferred spectral index of 2.87 for the 68% confidence interval.

Search for high-energy neutrino emission from radio-bright AGN

Bei Zhou et al.

Summary: The study suggests that radio-bright AGN are unlikely to be responsible for the TeV-PeV neutrinos detected by IceCube, as the two most significant sources in the catalog do not show high global significance. Stacking analyses reveal no significant correlation between the whole catalog and IceCube neutrinos.

New CTEQ global analysis of quantum chromodynamics with high-precision data from the LHC

Tie-Jiun Hou et al.

Summary: The new parton distribution functions (PDFs) from the CTEQ-TEA collaboration are determined using a wide variety of high-precision Large Hadron Collider (LHC) data, in addition to other datasets. These PDFs are analyzed at next-to-leading order and next-to-next-to-leading order, with error sets determined using the Hessian method. The data sensitivity and preference towards quantities such as α(s)(m(Z)), and the gluon and strange quark distributions are quantified using fast PDF survey techniques.
