Life is what you make it is an interesting novel written by Indian writer Preeti Shenoy. It is considered as a motivational and inspirational work. So the paper aims to analyse the theme of love and pain through a psychological study of this novel. Everyone in their life face various kinds of problems and many times life make us to stand at such a turn, where we cannot even imagine. In this story, the protagonist, Ankita Sharma also faces certain problems and turning points which affect her life badly. As we all know that human life is not easy so sometimes we have to do those things that are far from our ability inorder to survive in this earth. Ankita Sharma who is a young charming girl, unfortunately affected by bipolar disorder in her life but she accepts and conquers. So it is clear that Ankita just wants to become an independent girl because of that she rejects her love to go in the path of pursure of her dream but all these things changed her life. Finally readers can come to know that her willingness to live and her determination helps her to overcome her disorders.
