Finite element analysis was conducted to predict deformation and damage behavior during tensile testing, with results showing good agreement with experimental results.

This study involves fabricating a hybrid metal matrix composite of aluminium silicon carbide with muscovite/hydrated aluminium potassium silicate/aluminosilicate in order to improve mechanical characteristics and reduce wear-loss. Through the analysis of mechanical properties and wear behavior in different compositions, it was found that the wear-loss decreases linearly as the muscovite percentage was increased.
