AlGaAs-on-insulator waveguide for highly efficient photon-pair generation via spontaneous four-wave mixing

Hatam Mahmudlu et al.

Summary: Correlated photon pairs are efficiently generated in AlGaAs-OI waveguides through nonlinear spontaneous four-wave-mixing, achieving high pair generation efficiency and a broad generation bandwidth suitable for frequency multiplexing applications. This study demonstrates AlGaAs-OI as an efficient material platform for integrated quantum photonics at telecom wavelengths.
