A novel iron-based superconductor synthesized by the ion exchange technique

G. B. Hu et al.

Summary: In this study, a hybrid iron-based superconductor Li0.21Se0.05(EG)(0.26)FeSe was synthesized using a solvothermal ion-exchange technique, where a nearly vacancy-free precursor (TBA)(0.3)FeSe was used as the matrix. The Fe vacancies concentration in the FeSe plane was effectively reduced, and the bulk superconductivity with a transition temperature of 30 K was confirmed.

Electrochemical Synthesis and Crystal Structure of the Organic Ion Intercalated Superconductor (TMA)0.5Fe2Se2 with Tc=43 K

Bettina Rendenbach et al.

Summary: The study successfully demonstrated the intercalation of organic cations in superconducting iron selenide, resulting in a significant increase in critical temperature. Structural characterization of the intercalated material revealed the intercalation mechanism, validated by theoretical calculations. This synthetic route opens up new possibilities for achieving high-yield intercalations of other organic cations.

Quantum Griffiths Singularity in a Layered Superconducting Organic-Inorganic Hybrid Superlattice

Yingcheng Zhao et al.

Summary: In this study, Quantum Griffiths singularity (QGS) was triggered in organic-inorganic hybrid superlattices through the introduction of large-sized organic cations into layered inorganic crystals. The charge transfer introduced charge disorder into the hybrid superlattice without destroying lattice integrity, resulting in the emergence of QGS in bulk superconductors. The deviation of the phase boundary from the Werthamer-Helfand-Hohenberg theory suggests relatively strong spin-orbit coupling and provides a new pathway to investigate quantum phase transitions in disordered systems.
