Causal versus local GW plus EDMFT scheme and application to the triangular-lattice extended Hubbard model

Jiyu Chen et al.

Summary: In this study, the authors compare the recently proposed self-consistency scheme with causal auxiliary fields to the standard implementation in the triangular-lattice extended Hubbard model. Results show that both methods yield similar outcomes for short- and long-ranged interactions, with the causal scheme exhibiting slightly stronger correlation effects at half-filling. The authors further use these two methods to compute spectral functions and dynamically screened interactions in the parameter regime relevant for 1T-TaS2, providing insights into the electronic filling of the sample used in a recent photoemission study.

Causal optimization method for imaginary-time Green's functions in interacting electron systems

Mancheon Han et al.

Summary: Researchers develop a causal optimization method to ensure causality in numerical calculations of Green's functions in interacting electron systems. They find that intermediate-frequency behaviors of Green's functions are determined solely by causality, and their method provides a basis for improving stability and efficiency of numerical simulations of quantum many-body systems.

Dynamical cluster approximation study of electron localization in the extended Hubbard model

Hanna Terletska et al.

Summary: In this study, the phase transitions and mechanisms of electron localization in the extended Hubbard model were examined using the dynamical cluster approximation on a 2 x 2 cluster. The interplay of charge order and Mott physics was explored, with findings showing the effects of nearest-neighbor Coulomb interaction V on correlations in metallic and insulating regimes, as well as the different correlation aspects of charge order and Mott states.
