Spectroscopic characterization andthermal decomposition kinetics of 1,3-dibutyl-imidazolium bromide synthesized through a solvent-free and one-pot method

Sabrina Achour et al.

Summary: 1,3-dibutyl-imidazolium bromide ([BBIm][Br]) was successfully synthesized using a solvent-free and one-pot ultrasonic method. Its thermal stability and decomposition kinetic properties were investigated, revealing a single step mass loss with an activation energy of 140 kJ/mol and decomposition mechanism of nth order (Fn) reaction.

Characterisation techniques for analysis of imidazolium-based ionic liquids and application in polymer preparation: A review

Nur Athirah Noorhisham et al.

Summary: Imidazolium-based ionic liquids have been extensively studied for their tunable physicochemical properties, and are commonly used in polymer synthesis. However, limited information on their characterization is available in the literature. This paper provides a comprehensive review of characterization analysis methods and potential applications of imidazolium-based ILs in polymer preparation.
