Tailoring plasmon excitations in α - T3 armchair nanoribbons

Andrii Iurov et al.

Summary: The plasmon dispersions of alpha - T-3 nanoribbons are significantly influenced by the number of atomic rows across the ribbon and the energy gap determined by the nanoribbon geometry. Additionally, the bandgap has a strong impact on both the plasmon dispersions and their Landau damping. The relative hopping parameter alpha of an alpha - T-3 lattice can also have a strong effect on the plasmons.

Width Dependent Elastic Properties of Graphene Nanoribbons

George Kalosakas et al.

Summary: The mechanical response of graphene nanoribbons under uniaxial tension, as well as its dependence on the nanoribbon width, is explored through numerical simulations. Results obtained through different theoretical approaches are compared, and various elastic parameters are calculated to show their variation with the width of the nanoribbon.
