Simple but accurate estimation of light-matter coupling strength and optical loss for a molecular emitter coupled with photonic modes

Siwei Wang et al.

Summary: In this study, a simple and accurate method for estimating light-matter coupling strength and optical loss without free parameters was presented using macroscopic quantum electrodynamics (MQED) combined with a pseudomode approach. It was analytically and numerically proven that the dynamics derived from the MQED-based wavefunction approach is mathematically equivalent to the dynamics governed by the CQED-based Lindblad master equation when the Purcell factor behaves like Lorentzian functions.

Graphene Plasmon Excitation with Ground-State Two-Level Quantum Emitters

Xiaodong Zeng et al.

Summary: This study investigates the transmission of a two-level quantum emitter in its ground state through a graphene nanosheet and the nonadiabatic process produced by the graphene plasmons field distribution. It reveals a significant probability of exciting the quantum emitter and simultaneously emitting a GP, especially at speeds around 10^-4 times the speed of light. Furthermore, accelerated emitters cause GPs to exhibit a thermal field photon distribution with high temperature, providing a platform for observing the dynamical Casimir effect and simulating the Unruh effect.

Theory of molecular emission power spectra. II. Angle, frequency, and distance dependence of electromagnetic environment factor of a molecular emitter in plasmonic environments

Ming-Wei Lee et al.

Summary: This study presents a numerical method based on computational electrodynamics to analyze molecular emission power spectra in complex dielectric environments. It is found that EEFs in the far-field region depend on various factors and their effects should be carefully considered, rather than simply interpreting molecular emission power spectra by the lineshape function.

Memory effects and quantum speedup for a quantum emitter near a molybdenum disulfide nanodisk

Ioannis Thanopulos et al.

Summary: In this study, memory effects in the spontaneous emission dynamics of a quantum emitter near a molybdenum disulfide nanodisk were investigated. It was found that under strong coupling conditions, the non-Markovianity measures and potential quantum speed up are large, while they decrease as the coupling weakens. Different non-Markovianity measures for the system were compared.

Quantum surface effects in strong coupling dynamics

Vasilios Karanikolas et al.

Summary: The study theoretically explores the influence of quantum surface effects in metal-dielectric layered nanostructures on the relaxation dynamics of a proximal two-level QE. The results reveal a clear splitting in the emission spectrum and non-Markovian relaxation dynamics of the emitter, indicating the presence of strong light-matter coupling despite nonclassical surface effects in the metal's optical response.
