Breeding Realistic D-Brane Models

Gregory J. Loges et al.

Summary: Intersecting branes provide a useful mechanism for constructing particle physics models with desirable characteristics. Machine learning techniques can efficiently generate consistent and phenomenologically interesting models. This work demonstrates the construction of numerous consistent intersecting D-brane models using a genetic algorithm, with a significant portion containing the desired Standard Model gauge group factor.

Revisiting the supersymmetric Pati-Salam models from intersecting D6-branes

Tianjun Li et al.

Summary: By systematically revisiting the construction of three-family N=1 supersymmetric Pati-Salam models in Type IIA orientifolds on T6/(Z2xZ2) with intersecting D6-branes, we found that the Type II T-duality is not an equivalent relation in Pati-Salam model building if the model is not invariant under SU(2)L and SU(2)R exchange. We systematically construct new models with higher wrapping numbers, which may have the potential for approximate gauge coupling unification.

N=1 supersymmetric SU(12)C x SU(2)L x SU(2)R models, SU(4)C x SU(6)L x SU(2)R models, and SU(4)C x SU(2)L x SU(6)R models from intersecting D6-branes

Tianjun Li et al.

Summary: For the first time, N = 1 supersymmetric SU(12)(C) x SU(2)(L) x SU(2)(R) models, SU(4)(C) x SU(6)(L) x SU(2)(R) models, and SU(4)(C) x SU(2)(L) x SU(6)(R) models were systematically discussed in the context of type IIA orientifolds on T-6 / (Z(2) x Z(2)) with intersecting D6-branes. By using mathematical analysis, some models were excluded and the relationship between the SU(4)(C) x SU(6)(L) x SU(2)(R) models and SU(4)(C) x SU(2)(L) x SU(6)(R) models, related by left and right gauge symmetry exchanging, as well as a variation of type II T-duality, was explored.
