COVID-19: The effects of job insecurity on the job engagement and turnover intent of deluxe hotel employees and the moderating role of generational characteristics

Summary: The study found that employees' perceptions of job insecurity negatively affect their job engagement, which in turn can lower their turnover intent. Job engagement fully mediates the relationship between perceptions of job insecurity and turnover intent. The impact of job insecurity caused by COVID-19 is greater on Generation Y than Generation X, indicating that job insecurity has a more severe negative impact on Generation Y.
