Transmission of SARS-CoV-2 in the household setting: A prospective cohort study in children and adults in England

Summary: A prospective study in England measured secondary attack rates (SARs) among household contacts of pediatric and adult cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection. The risk of transmission in the home was found to be high, especially in households where infection was introduced by a child. Children had lower risk of acquiring infection compared to adults and fewer developed typical symptoms of Covid-19 infection.
