In this study, a typical laboratory experiment was conducted to isolate flat strips of a flexible polycrystalline aggregate of a hydrazone derivative. The material exhibits fast, reversible, and bidirectional photomechanical motion due to the photoswitching ability of hydrazones, which distinguishes it from single crystals of the parent compound.
