Impact ionization and multiple photon absorption in the two-dimensional photoexcited Hubbard model

Florian Maislinger et al.

Summary: We study the behavior of a Hubbard model under the influence of a short electric field pulse, focusing on phenomena such as multiple photon excitations and changes in double occupancy. The behavior depends on the driving frequency of the electric field. We observe distinct photon excitation peaks in the eigenstate spectrum, and introduce a technique to analyze the time evolution of double occupancy. The long-term behavior of double occupancy is mainly determined by the absorbed energy.

Time-resolved ARPES on cuprates: Tracking the low-energy electrodynamics in the time domain

M. Zonno et al.

Summary: The study of copper-oxide high-temperature superconductors using time- and angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy has advanced both experimental techniques and understanding of their dynamical properties. By investigating the transient evolution of low-energy spectral function, researchers have gained specific insights into the behavior of these quantum materials.

Comparing scattering rates from Boltzmann and dynamical mean-field theory

Summary: This study computes the scattering rates of electrons in different lattice models using DMFT and BSE. The results show that the agreement between the two methods varies depending on the strength of the interaction, with significant differences observed in the case of strong interaction.
