A method for functionalizing Si-H containing substrates with vinyl substituted silacyclopropenes has been developed, allowing for the generation of multi-functional silacyclopropene derivatives, ranging from small molecules to polymeric materials such as polysiloxanes. This method offers access to a new class of functionalized materials with potential applications.
