Management, orchestration and workflow automation of Edge Computing services: The TANDEM approach

Summary: The proposed direction for 5G NFV technologies involves adopting Cloud-native design principles and utilizing PaaS solutions for re-usability of virtual network functions. To address coordination challenges between core and edge networks, a methodology for automating NFV MANO and edge platform interaction is described, offering benefits of reducing management overhead and exposing edge resources to NFV MANO.
