In this study, the branching fractions of B-0 and B-s(0) decays were calculated using the Dalitz plot analysis based on the factorization approach. The obtained results are comparable to experimental measurements.
In this study, I calculate the branching fractions of the B-0 -> (D) over bar*K-0(+)pi(-) and B-s(0) -> (D) over bar*K-0(-)pi(+) decays using the Dalitz plot analysis based on the framework of the factorization approach. This analysis includes resonance and non-resonance contributions, the resonances of B-0 -> (D) over bar*K-0(+)pi(-) decay are K*(892)(0), K-0*(1430)(0) and D-1(2420)(-), D-2*(2460)(-); while (K) over bar*(892)(0), (K) over bar (0)*(1430)(0) and D-s1 (2536)(-), D-s(2)*(2573)(-) are the corresponding resonances to the B-s(0) -> (D) over bar*(0)(K) over bar (-)pi(+) decay. The overall branching fractions are obtained in this research to be B(B-0 -> (D) over bar*K-0(+)pi(-)) = (5.13 +/- 1.33) x 10(-5) and B(B-s(0) -> (D) over bar*K-0(+)pi(-) ) = (9.67 +/- 2.32) x 10(-4). The dominant contributions to these calculations are the K*(892)(0) and (K) over bar*(892)(0) resonances, respectively. The obtained branching fraction of the B-0 -> (D) over bar*K-0(+)pi(-) decay mode relative to that of the B-0 -> (D) over bar*K-0(+)pi(-) decay, (0.05 +/- 0.02), is comparable to the experimental result, (0.0712 +/- 0.0035 +/- 0.0062 +/- 0.0022), reported by the LHCb collaboration.
